Suresh is a single parent of a teenage son and a daughter in primary school - help us after a divorce
Suresh and a teenage son and a daughter in primary school need a bridge to stability after a divorce.

After a divorce in June, I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a hairdresser, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a web developer in the evenings, which will triple my income by September, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $700 goes:
• Rent top-up: $340
• Childcare and after-school care: $105
• Groceries and school meals: $105
• Course fees and exam costs: $150
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Suresh. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Lahore.
Stay strong. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
