Emergency vet bill for Milo in Saint Petersburg
A German shepherd named Milo needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $550 bill the family can't cover.

Milo is my German shepherd of nine years. On 10 August we rushed to Saint Petersburg Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $550.
They have stabilized Milo, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Milo is more than a pet - Milo is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Saint Petersburg Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Milo's recovery.
Where the $550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $340
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $75
• Medication and follow-up visits: $45
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $90
