Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Yusuf's family in Bogor
After a car accident, Yusuf is 5 months behind on rent and has a court summons for non-payment from the landlord.

When my hours were cut in half in October, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $550.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $390
• First month of rent as a buffer: $95
• Late fees and court costs: $65

Updates from Yusuf
Wanted to say thank you properly. 97% funded and I made the first payment toward rent arrears.
Update from Bogor: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 55% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Small update. $270 so far, the plan for rent arrears is now scheduled.
