Independence for Maya: adapted tricycle
An adapted tricycle would give Maya independence - we're $1,800 away.
🇬🇧 Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom1,106 views
Maya lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Dundee Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,800.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Maya could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $85
• adapted tricycle: $1,400
• Fitting and training sessions: $315

Hang in there, Luca. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Multan
you're not alone, Luca. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Love from Aurora
