Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Ting's family in Fort Collins
After a long illness, Ting is 5 months behind on rent and has a termination letter from the landlord.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Monday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,000.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $560
• Late fees and court costs: $240
• Utilities in arrears: $200
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Any update on how things are going in Fort Collins?
Good luck. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
You're not alone, Ting. Hope you get there. God bless.
Sending strength. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Praying for you, Ting. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update.
Sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Fort Collins
