Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Lorenzo's family in Huntsville
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Lorenzo needs $1,200 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Huntsville.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 5 weeks, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by April, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $170
• Late fees and court costs: $420
• First month of rent as a buffer: $610
Every share and every dollar helps.

Stay strong, Lorenzo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
Hang in there. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor in Kandy donated after I showed her your page
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Sent it to 38 people at work. All the best.
Wishing you the best, Lorenzo. Looking forward to the next update. Love from Benin City.
