Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Jaxon's family in Los Angeles
The loss of a second income left Jaxon short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in October, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I've 3 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $1,200
• Late fees and court costs: $165
• Utilities in arrears: $235
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care

Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
thanks for sharing this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update.
Stay strong, Jaxon. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Addis Ababa donated after I showed her your page!
