Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Axel's family in Reading
A court summons for non-payment arrived last week. Axel needs $2,150 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Reading.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,150.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by August, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,700
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• Late fees and court costs: $220
I hope life is good to you.

hope it all works out, Axel. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. All the best

Rooting for you, Axel. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
