My sister Melek has been accepted for treatment at the Ankara Cancer Centre in Ankara, starting on Monday in July. We live 172 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 3 weeks. Two of us would stay: Melek and me. We can contribute $40 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Melek will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • rooting for you, Taner. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Ankara.

    • Sending love. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings
