When my hours were cut in half in March, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
