Start-up fund for Rhea: reopening a small grocery stall after the demolition of the market
Rhea lost a cold-storage unit to the demolition of the market and needs $850 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For four years I have run a small grocery stall in Makati. In August, the demolition of the market took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $850 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $540
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $110
• Working capital for the first month: $100
Glad we found this place.

Thanks for sharing this, Rhea. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Los Angeles.
Sending good thoughts. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Makati
