Yekaterinburg
For six years I have run a phone repair counter in Yekaterinburg. In January, a fire in the building took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $1,400 goes: • Shop repairs and licensing: $175 • Initial stock: replacement parts: $200 • Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $1,025 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Irina

Updates from Irina

  1. Thank you all. We're at 3% now ($45). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Yekaterinburg: the plan for replacing a soldering station and testing tools is now scheduled. We're at 3% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Praying for you, Irina. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
