Mohammedia
For nine years I have run a fish stall in Mohammedia. In May, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $650 goes: • Replacing a freezer and scales: $290 • Initial stock: the first catch: $105 • Shop repairs and licensing: $85 • Working capital for the first month: $170 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Hamza

  1. Update from Mohammedia: we've started the first stage. We're at 3% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 1% now ($5). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for working capital for the first month is now scheduled.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($5 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
