For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Metz. In December, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $3,000 goes: • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $480 • Shop repairs and licensing: $330 • Replacing a commercial oven: $2,190 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Fabrice

Take care, Fabrice. Your post was clear and honest. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Jakarta

Sending strength, Fabrice. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Kanpur donated after I showed her your page. Love from Kanpur.
