Start-up fund for Elaine: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a break-in
Elaine lost a commercial oven to a break-in and needs $1,250 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Olinda. In June, a break-in took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $200
• Replacing a commercial oven: $940
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $110
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Rooting for you, Elaine. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Thinking of you and your family, Elaine. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
This could happen to any of us. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
Sending strength, Elaine. Hope you make a strong comeback.
Sending love, Elaine. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Los Angeles
Hope you make a strong comeback. Love from Lagos.
Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Rajkot so I could bring a meal.
