Sofia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September. The oncology team at the Dnipro Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Sofia is 53, worked as a farmer until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Dnipro Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,650 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $600 • Scans and lab work: $290 • Transport to the Dnipro Oncology Institute: $160 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125 • Household costs while unable to work: $475 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Volodymyr
