Maple Park needs a free library and reading room - Renata's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $1,100 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 468 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $95
• Tools hire and delivery: $140
