Start-up fund for Aarti: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a long illness and repossession
A bicycle repair shop in New Delhi needs help replacing a full set of tools after a long illness and repossession.

For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in New Delhi. In July, a long illness and repossession took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $250 goes:
• Initial stock: spare parts: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $90
• Working capital for the first month: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Aarti
Good news. Because of your gifts ($29 in total) the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $24 so far, I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.
Thank you all. We're at 6% now ($14). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for initial stock: spare parts is now scheduled.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 6 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
