In March I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at the Bogra Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in May. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 43, I worked as a bank teller until March, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Bogra Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $920
• Scans and lab work: $190
• Transport to the Bogra Oncology Institute: $105
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $215

Thank you all. We're at 18% now ($267). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for scans and lab work is now scheduled.
Quick update: $237 raised so far (16%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Small update. $212 so far, I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts.
