Weekly meals for students and shift workers in Poitiers
Yann runs a volunteer pantry feeding 115 families; this fund restocks shelves for the harvest gap.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Friday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 11 families, and now we feed 115 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Poitiers market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $400
• Refrigeration and electricity: $150
Every share and every dollar helps.
