Yogyakarta volcanic eruption relief - the Millbrook district
The volcanic eruption damaged 63 homes in the Millbrook district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The volcanic eruption hit the Millbrook district on 7 August. My home was one of 63 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $450 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $140
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $175
• Clean water and purification supplies: $135

Hope it all works out, Irfan. Great idea, hope you get there. I hope October is when things finally get easier. All the best!
Praying for you. Hope this works out for you. After 13 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Wishing you peace. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
Best of luck, Irfan. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Good luck. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Yogyakarta
