Rubina was diagnosed with kidney cancer in November. The oncology team at Surat Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Rubina is 51, worked as a construction supervisor until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Surat Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $590 • Scans and lab work: $175 • Transport to Surat Cancer Centre: $105 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $100 • Household costs while unable to work: $130 Thank you for reading my story. - Tanvir
