Don't let Farah's family go through winter without electricity and water
A disconnection notice for electricity and water arrived and Farah needs $350 before December.

The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $350. I have never been late before September's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $60 first, which I don't have.
I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.

• Heating arrears: $230
• Reconnection and late fees: $75
• Down payment on a payment plan: $45

Sure. The biggest one is heating arrears, $230. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
