Peng was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in April. The oncology team at the Grand Rapids Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Peng is 49, worked as a taxi driver until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Grand Rapids Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
