Standing with Roberto: colon cancer treatment costs
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Salvador University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Roberto was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at Salvador University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Roberto is 26, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Salvador University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $330
• Transport to Salvador University Hospital: $250
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240
• Household costs while unable to work: $630
