Dignity in old age: caring for Aoi
Aoi can't afford the care She needs after a heart attack; we're asking for $2,200.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 76. After a heart attack Aoi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Aoi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Aoi worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $1,300
• Medication and prescriptions: $450
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $160
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $290
Thanks for being kind about this.

Keep going. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
