Rafiq was diagnosed with colon cancer in January. The oncology team at New Delhi University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Rafiq is 27, worked as a hairdresser until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to New Delhi University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,300
• Scans and lab work: $185
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Transport to New Delhi University Hospital: $80
