Joon-woo's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a thyroid nodule that needs removal, Joon-woo was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In December I was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal. My surgeon at Saint Francis Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for March. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $6,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $3,200 short.
Doctors at Saint Francis Hospital told me a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a call-centre agent, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $6,500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a call-centre agent have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
