Phương was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at Hồ Chí Minh City University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Phương is 44, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hồ Chí Minh City University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $310
• Scans and lab work: $100
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $700
• Transport to Hồ Chí Minh City University Hospital: $140
