Standing with Paolo: early-stage lung cancer treatment costs
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Manila Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines999 views
Paolo was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in December. The oncology team at Manila Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Paolo is 47, worked as a bakery worker until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Manila Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Scans and lab work: $115
• Transport to Manila Cancer Centre: $145
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70
• Household costs while unable to work: $420
Every share and every dollar helps.

best of luck, Bea. Hope this works out for you. Blessings
how is Paolo doing now?
Wishing you peace, Bea. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Bornova
thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Sending good thoughts, Bea. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings
