I make my living with my school-run minibus. 12 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $450 goes: • clutch assembly replacement (parts): $300 • Labor charges: $70 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $40 • Towing and inspection: $40 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Defne

  1. Thank you all. We're at 10% now ($47). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 10% funded and the plan for road tax and insurance renewal is now scheduled.

  3. Wanted to say thank you properly. 8% funded and I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. - Defne

        • is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Defne

          • Defne Esra DemirOwnerAnswer

Clutch assembly replacement (parts) is $300 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.

        • I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Boulogne-Billancourt.
