Standing with Howard: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs

Howard was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Albany Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Howard is 53, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Albany Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
