Emergency vet bill for Pixel in Brooklyn
Pixel, Waylon's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for a tumor on the spleen costing $2,750.
🇺🇸 United States1,007 views
Pixel is my tabby kitten of two years. On 17 September we rushed to Brooklyn Animal Hospital with a tumor on the spleen. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,750.
They have stabilized Pixel, but the treatment can't wait beyond November.
Pixel is more than a pet - Pixel walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $180 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Brooklyn Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $280
• Emergency surgery: $1,850
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $620
Thanks for reading all this.

Thinking of you, Waylon. Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
hope it all works out. Poor Pixel, hope they feel better soon. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Kharkiv
Hope things get better soon, Waylon. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings
Best of luck, Waylon. Hope the recovery goes smoothly. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Hang in there, Waylon. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Brooklyn.
