Standing with Dennis: stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment costs
Dennis is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Dennis was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at Dallas University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Dennis is 42, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dallas University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $7,700 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,950
• Transport to Dallas University Hospital: $840
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $570
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,340
