Wollongong
Arianna was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at the Wollongong Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Arianna is 36, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Wollongong Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $10,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500 • Scans and lab work: $870 • Transport to the Wollongong Oncology Institute: $1,250 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $550 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,580 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Beau

Updates from Beau

  1. We're at 36% thanks to 86 of you. the plan for nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is now scheduled. More news soon.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,558 in total) I made the first payment toward household costs while unable to work. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
