Standing with Anjali: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
Supporting Anjali through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to the Ahmedabad Oncology Institute, and living costs while She can't work.
🇮🇳 India905 views
In July I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at the Ahmedabad Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 47, I worked as a nurse until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Ahmedabad Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $310
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $620
• Transport to the Ahmedabad Oncology Institute: $120
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
