Bogdan received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Bogdan needs $1,200 to clear the arrears and stay housed in București.

When the textile factory closed in November, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by February, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $1,050
• Utilities in arrears: $70
• Late fees and court costs: $80

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Bogdan?
Thank you. If you're in București I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Hope it all works out, Bogdan. Looking forward to the next update
good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of București.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor in Shreveport donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
so sorry you're going through this, Bogdan. I hope things turn around soon. Take care.
