Standing with Adriana: stomach cancer treatment costs

Adriana is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Adriana was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Fort Worth University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Adriana is 48, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fort Worth University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $4,000 goes: • Transport to Fort Worth University Hospital: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $870 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,350 • Scans and lab work: $780 With deep gratitude, Raúl
