School supplies and a laptop for Vera in Lviv
Vera won a place at Lviv Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at Lviv Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the biology course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love biology and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $100 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
• Textbooks and workbooks: $50
• School uniform and shoes: $35
Thank you for reading my story.

Take care, Vera. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn.
