School supplies and a laptop for Sônia in Duque de Caxias
Sônia won a place at Duque de Caxias Boys' High School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

Sônia earned a place in Grade 9 at Duque de Caxias Boys' High School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $350, which is more than they have.
Sônia loves chemistry and wants to become an architect. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $350 goes:
• Laptop: $210
• School uniform and shoes: $35
• Textbooks and workbooks: $75
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $30
Glad we found this place.
