Sadie needs a lift to the San Francisco Dialysis Unit - can you help one day a week?

A rota of drivers to the San Francisco Dialysis Unit would keep Sadie on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Sadie has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to the San Francisco Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Sadie can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way. Sadie is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I hope life is good to you.

  • Sending love, Wayne. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of San Francisco.
