Guarulhos
I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Guarulhos University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,400. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Guarulhos University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,400 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $410 • Final term tuition: $850 • Exam and lab fees: $55 • Textbooks and materials: $85 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  1. Update from Guarulhos: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 35% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 49% now ($689). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the university and confirmed the amounts.

  3. Quick update: $420 raised so far (30%). I met with the university and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Wish I lived closer to Ludhiana so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Patras.

Wishing you the best, Ronaldo. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

thanks for sharing this, Ronaldo. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Nashik

good luck, Ronaldo. Shared this with my family. After 14 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
