Rides to dialysis three times a week for Sita in Pokhara
Sita needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
🇳🇵 Pokhara, Gandaki, Nepal216 views
Sita has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Pokhara Kidney Centre alone. After a minor stroke, Sita can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way.
Sita is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending love, Durga. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Negombo.
hope the doctors have good news. I hope August is when things finally get easier. All the best
Stay strong, Durga. Your post was clear and honest. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Prayagraj.
take care, Durga. Shared it with a few friends.
