Care for Nneka, 77: help cover a carer and medication in Ikeja
Nneka can't afford the care She needs after a heart attack; we're asking for $950.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,723 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 77. After a heart attack Nneka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Nneka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Nneka worked all of her life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $950 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $720
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $60
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $105
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Ikeja
Wishing you the best. Shared this with my family. My husband and I read this together. Love from London.
Thinking of you, Nkechi. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 24 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Ikeja
