Rides to dialysis three times a week for Sadie in Philadelphia
A rota of drivers to the Philadelphia Kidney Centre would keep Sadie on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇺🇸 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States293 views
Sadie has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Philadelphia Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Sadie can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 15 km each way.
Sadie is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.

Hang in there, Gianna. Hope you get there. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Philadelphia.
Take care, Gianna. This could happen to any of us. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 14 people at work. Love from El Paso
Get well soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best
Sending good thoughts. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We're a small family in Parramatta but we're thinking of you. Blessings.
