Rides to dialysis three times a week for Rita in Kumasi

A rota of drivers to Kumasi Regional Medical Center would keep Rita on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Kumasi
Rita has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Kumasi Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Rita can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 23 km each way. Rita is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from London
