Rides to dialysis three times a week for Marcus in Auckland
Could you drive Marcus to the Auckland Dialysis Unit on Monday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.
🇳🇿 1010, Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand1,552 views
Marcus has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Auckland Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Marcus can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way.
Marcus is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Rooting for you, Gabriel. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Auckland.
Good luck, Gabriel. Hope this works out for you
I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Auckland.
