Jimma
My family left Iraq 8 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Jimma. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in September. I was an electrician in Iraq, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $400 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $165 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $90 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $40 • Language classes and bus passes: $65 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $40 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Eleni
