Ramesh wants to stay at home - help fund three months of care
Ramesh, 76, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,000 for a carer and medicines.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India1,047 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 76. After the death of his spouse Ramesh can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Ramesh desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Ramesh worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $730
• Medication and prescriptions: $135
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $35
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $100

Take care, Divya. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Epe this morning. God bless!
You're not alone, Divya. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
wishing you peace, Divya. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
Sending good thoughts, Divya. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Pune.
