Bagus has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Jakarta Selatan Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Bagus can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 19 km each way. Bagus is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Praying for you, Ani. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest

    • take care, Ani. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

Thanks for sharing this, Ani. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My husband and I read this together.

        • Wishing you the best. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 16 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

          • Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
